My data tables constantly lose or forget fields when attempting to edit an app. I am afraid to edit apps with data tables. This is most annoying and a time-waster. When the data table loses its fields, it also loses the formulas associated witht those fields. I have noticed several people who have reported this bug over time. I must "Save As" each functioning app with a different version no. and edit this version to avoid breaking a functioning app for my users. This problem is exacerbated by the "auto save" feature since I have no choice as to when the broken app saves.
My version is 2.0.730.
Please fix this.

Further, for the auto-save, it could be disabled by navigating to Account page:

Please update the docs to include that it breaks all the ¤!"%#"!¤!"**** time and should be used with caution!!! Do NOT do any special formatting that you can't remember since it loses all the information on a regular basis.
Thank you, Michael, (v-micsh-msft) I did not know that I could turn off "Auto save." That tip at least gives me some control.
I've read and keep reading with keen anticipation everything about the Data table control because I think it is very useful. I had taken note of the known issues and I am careful to avoid what the documents speaks about. Mostly I edit using the desktop Powerapps app rather than the Web, but I do not believe it makes a difference with the Data table control losing fields. I am anxious for it to be resolved.

Could you please share more details about how you configrued the Data Table property, specially for the items?
Has there been any official solution to this? I am not using the only known limitation for "FirstN" and still have ALL of my data tables cleared every time I edit my app. I literally have to reselect, rename, etc ALL of my data cards. I've noticed to even make things even more annoying, sometimes I'm unable to select certain data cards at all. I'll click on the checkbox and nothing will happen. I have to close the window and try again. I agree with OP, this is about the single most annoying issue I can imagine and a massive time waster for something that should be so simple.

Sadly, I still experience this issue. I try to avoid using data tables except when an absolute must--then I hold my nose. Then I self medicate with a glass of fine sherry.
