Records are deleting automatically??

Hi

I have built a timetabling application which comprises of quite a few tables.

One strange thing keeps happening, for one of the teacher the records I create keep getting deleted automatically. Now this only happens with the same person.

In SharePoint there was a deleted folder where you could check, but is there a way to check in CDS (Dataverse)? I want to know when they get deleted and possibly by whom?

This is so strange, almost like a mystery.

Thank you

I have the same question (0)

    @Mo_Islam

    One way to carry out this task is to enable auditing and to check the audit log.

    There are more details here:

    Like timl mentioned, enabling audit logs would give you some insights. If this is a Powerapps or D365 environment, you can restrict access to deleting records through security roles. Generally speaking, I normally remove disable delete permissions for all users, or at least restrict it to deleting only their own records. If its Dataverse in Teams, you have more limited options in changing security roles.

    Hi @Mo_Islam,

    What type of environment or database are you using, assuming standard CDS/Dataverse? Besides checking the audit trail as per the previous posts, in make.powerapps.com or classic solution explorer, check if they are any Power Automate flows, classic workflows, and/or plugins running that might trigger and delete the records. If any you can temporarily deactivate those to investigate what deletes the rows/records.

    Hope this helps
