Management of sharepoint list IDs connected to Powerapp

Hello everyone,

I am using sharepoint lists as a DB connected with my app in Power App.
As I have noticed that the default ID column of sharepoint lists sometimes has non-linear behaviour and has given me some problems, I wanted to know if it is safe to use this column as the ID of my values or if you could recommend an alternative method.
Alternatively, I was thinking of creating a manual ID column that is progressive and has unique values. Could this be a good alternative? If so, could you advise me on how to do this?

Thank you very much in advance!!!

    Hello @Francesco_G ,

SharePoint list offers a reliable ID column which already increment for each new record.

Could you elaborate on how this column has a "non-linear behaviour"?

Hi @Francesco_G I agree with @WiZey ! However, If you are using ID column with operators like <, <=,<>, >, >= then you might face issues. Please check this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sharepointonline/#power-apps-delegable-functions-and-operations-for-sharepoint

If you are using ID column for comparison with filter then only equal "=" operator is support and other operator will give to delegation warning. So , instead you can have alternate column created let say NEWID of type single line of text and using Power Automate append the ID value to new column and the use NEWID in app. This is just assumption, however if you elaborate your issue then may be I can help you further.
