Is there a recommended day to format a form more rapidly ? Would be nice to have access to a file where I can specify these values on the fly instead of clicking around.

I am need to fomrat the Text on Text boxes Input Fields, as well as the lenght and width of these.

I am finding myself doing this for each of them individually which is very time consuming.

Thanks

    Hi @dmarin

I am not sure this helps, but you can select more than one control at a time and you will see the common properties.

For example select all the text boxes and input boxes on a screen and you will be able to see the width property in the Studio.

    @Meneghino

How do I do this ? I am only able to select 1 at a time.

Just like in PowerPoint, you either:

    1) Click on the first control and then Ctrl+Click on all other controls you want to select

    2) Start in a corner, click and drag to show a dark rectangle (see screenshot below)  When you let go all elements mainly in the rectangle will be selected

Please let me know if this works

    Ah, forms in PowerApps...

I don't use them as I find them very fiddly unless you use them out of the box and don't customise.

For any customisation I suggest you use individual controls and use the Patch and Remove functions to submit, edit and delete data.

It is really quite easy once you get the hang of a few concepts, so please write back if you are willing to try.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I am currently using "Collect" on custom froms.  Will give that a try.

Where would I use Patch ?

Try this, although I am not sure what your database is:

    1. Connect a simple table/list as data source MyTable, with a simple text field/column, MyTextColumn
    2. Create a text input, TextInput1
    3. Create a button and set its OnSelect property to:
      Patch(MyTable, Defaults(MyTable), {MyTextColumn: TextInput1.Text})
This will create a new record in your table
    4. Assuming your table auto-generates an ID then you can create another TextInput2 and another button and set its OnSelect property to:
      Patch(MyTable, {ID: Value(TextInput2.Text)}, {MyTextColumn: TextInput1.Text})
This will edit the record identified by the ID in TextInput2

Please let me know how you get on.

How would this work for drop down lists ?

I don't seem to be able to associate control "Drop Down LIst" with My Sharepoitn "Choice Type" Column  ?

I guess the answer to this is that power apps will reference the contents of the list and not the properties on the SP column.

In my case, I can just create another list.

    Hi Dmarin,

About the issue to format the controls inside a form, it seems that we are not able to format all the controls at a time. Just as you said, we need to format each of them individually.

May I suggest you submit an idea at PowerApps ideas Forum about this issue, other customers who have the same request would vote your idea at here:

    Best regards,
