Need help in Generative AI option and knowledge sources

Hello,

I need help with Power Virtual Agent.

I am working on creating a Power Virtual Agent chatbot. I have already added some files to the knowledge sources and enabled the Generative AI option.

Now, I need to configure the chatbot so that it first attempts to get answers from copilots. If no answer is available from copilots, it should then search in our knowledge sources.

I have tried multiple solutions but haven’t been able to achieve the desired result.

Could you please provide me with some suggestions and documentation for this?

What do you mean when you say "I need to configure the chatbot so that it first attempts to get answers from copilots"? Like first it should look in topics and then goes to knowledge source?

My scenario is as follows: I have added 5 PDF files to a knowledge source. When I ask a question, the AI should first provide a generated answer. If the AI cannot generate an answer, it should then fetch the answer from the knowledge source PDFs.

The first priority is the AI-generated answer, the second priority is the knowledge source files, and the third priority is the topics.

Play with the settings, Knowledge sources and Classic data in the Conversation boosting topic.

Go to System topics > Conversational boosting > Create generative answers node > Properties

You can also add, Generative answer node within a topic. For example, say if for a question, How to make a coffee, you would author a topic and add generative answer node and determine if that should get answer from Knowledge source or Classic AI data.
