Onboarding App - task created in Excel

Hello,

i am using the Onboarding canvas template. The issue that i am having is that, when someone use the Add a new task button and create it, the new task goes to the Excel file, from where everyone receives the same task and it is not specific for each person.

My idea is that the app can be used by a lot of people, when they start in our company, they will receive the link for the app and when they open it, the excel file that have all of predefined tasks will fill the start point tasks, then if the same this person wants to add new ones, he could add them directly to his Outlook profile, so it wont go to the Excel. In the case with the template when Add new task button is used it goes to the excel and then automatically goes to everyone.

The formula for creating it in excel is this one: Patch(Tasks, Defaults(Tasks), {Name:"Other - " & EditTasksNameInput.Text,Description:EditTasksDescriptionInput.Text,URL:EditTasksLinkInput.Text});

But how to create it directly to Outlook tasks?

    Use the Outlook Tasks connector

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/outlooktasks/

    This runs in the Context of the user, so you can simply have a data call like this:

    OutlookTasks.CreateTaskV3("Task Title");

    You'll see this will create a simple task in your Outlook tasks.

    You can then expand upon this, and loop through the Excel list of Tasks, to create individual tasks. Something like:

    ForAll(
     ExcelTableName,
     OutlookTasks.CreateTaskV3(ThisRecord.ExcelTableColumn)
    )

    You can add additional parameters to the CreateTaskV3 action, as well. If needed.

    OutlookTasks.CreateTaskV3(
     "Task Subject",
     {
     DueDateTime: {
     DateTime: DateAdd(
     Today(),
     7,
     Days
     ),
     TimeZone: "Eastern Standard Time"
     }
     }
    )

    thanks a lot for the help.
