Custom web-roles does not work as expected

Hi experts,

Thank you for helping me in advance.

I have a table to show on the PP for group of user only, to do that, I have created a custom webroles by copying the authenticated user.

Then I assign this for a test user - but the test user still sees what he is not supposed to see.

The table permission config:

Access type = Global.

The webroles assigned: Only custom webroles.

Please advised how to achieve the goal above.

If you have to restrict your page to specific web roles only. You have to add Web Page Access control rule. Please go through this link for more details. Or you can go through official docs here.

Web Roles that have the Authenticated or Anonymous checkboxes ticked are set so their table permissions can be inherited by logged in and not logged in users respectively.
If you have another Web Role that has the Authenticated checkbox ticked, your portal user could be inheriting that Web Roles table permissions. Also, at most you should only have 1 Web Role with Authenticated ticked (if you have more than 1 you do not know which one an Authenticated user will inherit from) and in many cases you can have no Web Roles with it ticked.
