Using calculated columns in rollup columns

Hi, not sure whether this is a bug or a feature, please confirm the correct answer:

1. Generally, it is possible to include calculated columns in the formula for rollup columns

2. This works fine, however, when part of the formula in the calculated column contains columns from RELATED tables, than suddenly this column is no more available to be used in a rollup formula.

Bug or feature?

Thanks!

    Hi @Robert-Rybaric ,

You can use calculated column in roll up, if you use the fields only from the parent entity. If any related column used in calculated field and that calculated field will not be available to refer in any rollup fields.

If it answers your question. Kindly give kudo and accept it as solution.

    Regards,

    Prakash

Thanks, not happy with that, but it is how it is. I miss a logic in this, since a calculated field has a value, and that should be available regardless if the value is calculated just from own fields, or from fields from a relationship.
