I embedded a canvas app within the model driven app and am not able to get data to display from the model driven app on my canvas app. I connected to the appropriate data source and am using ModelDrivenFormIntegration.Item.FieldName but nothing will display. I am not getting any errors and the rest of my app is working fine. The field I am referencing is on the form my canvas app is embedded on and within the data source (entity).

You are probably running into an issue where the ModelDrivenFormIntegration control doesn't fetch the entire record. So suggest using a LookUp using the GUID from the ModelDrivenFormIntegration control and fetching the complete record.
