Issues with Multistep form Option "Multiple Records Per User Permitted" Not working when set to "NO"

Dear community,

I would like to allow one record to be created using multistep form by setting the option: "Multiple Records Per User Permitted" to "NO" see picture below, but it seems not to be working and is allowing me to create more than one record, any suggestions, or this may be a bug?

Also if I am not using the right option, any options on how to achieve this?

Thank you,

Jose G Diaz

The code would remain the same but you would use a different app to get to Portal Management. This site I did is standard as well because we didn't have the option when I created it. I made a new one recently and its sooooo much easier. Everything just flows through solutions.

Anyway, I'm attaching a word file that has screenshots and then the code. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm super new to this so hopefully I laid it out in a way that makes sense. Took me way too long to figure this out but it has been working for almost a year now!

I'm a bit better at power apps and power automate so if you have questions on those let me know. Good luck!

As a right now is on the standard model but I am planning to do the migration to enhance soon, so not sure if the code will be different depending of the data model but if you have it for both will be perfect I am not kind of newbie on this 🙂

Are you using the original or advanced data model? Also, are you familiar with web templates and liquid/javascript code? I'm a total newbie when it comes to this stuff so there may be an easier way to do this, but it has worked for me. I'll work on creating a screen shot file and upload it later this morning.

    Hi,

I am not sure if I understand the workaround could you please add a more detailed explication, also if possible sharing the code will be awesome.

    Thank you in advance,

The workaround I used was some simple JavaScript/liquid code on a button to direct a user to an insert or edit form depending on if a record already exists.

Unfortunately is not fixed yet even I was in the power platform even in Las Vegas and went to a workshop and talked with the power page "GURUS" and no answer as of right now, they said that they will be willing to help or find a solution or a workaround, I have been sending multiple emails to the person and no answer no even look without personal MS Parnert resp, its been a nightmare. I honestly don't know what else to do.
