Pulling Power BI data into a bot

There's at least one other post about this topic but I don't really see it answered.

pulling data from other Power platform sites - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

I'd like to be able to have my users ask the bot for some specific data that's available in a Power BI dataset. For example, "what were our sales yesterday". I'd then set up a topic where it'd call and action to run a Power BI query and return a single number, or a table of numbers. I haven't been successful connecting to a Power BI query action. The design experience of the flow is different than in Power Automate, and even that is challenging. Is there some article you can point me to that'll help with this? Same thing really to connect to data in an Excel spreadsheet.

That would not be straightforward, as you would have to translate a natural language query to something like DAX, run the DAX against a Power BI dataset, and then reformat the result in a way that would be chat friendly. You can probably achieve this by connecting with an Azure OpenAI endpoint, but this entire pattern is not currently available OOTB.
