NewForm() not setting dataverse defaults

I have some Dataverse columns with default values. When I create a Canvas app form and try and create a new record, the defaults do not carry into the canvas app. Anyway to make this happen? The DefaultSelectedItems is set Parent.Default

Hi @tchristy99 ,

If you are referring to choice column default value in Dataverse then it does auto populate in canvas app.

You will have to write formula in defaultselecteditem property to set the default value.

Another option is to don't show those fields on the canvas app form and when user submits the form those fields default value will be auto populated when you open the record from dataverse.

@dpoggemann when I try this I get an error "Expecting a record Value".

Hi @tchristy99 ,

Could you please check if you have applied the formula mistakenly on Default of the Combo box rather than Default of the field Data Card?
