Button to skip Tabs

  • I just took over an existing powerapp from someone else. Now i have to fix some things. In this App there is a screen with a tablist on it that is getting used to navigate and show different groups based on selection. The onchange and onselect formulas are both "Set(SelectedTab,FormTabs.Selected.TabValue)". Now i wanted to create a button that skips from for example the 4th selected tab to the fifth. I put in the buttons onselect "Set(SelectedTab, 5) and it did show the group that is shown when selecting the fifth tab but the selection in the tablist doesnt change, so the fourth tab is still selected. Any idea? I would be grateful for any help and hope i have provided enough information. If something is missing, please ask.

    @Hapfel - I see your a new member so hopefully these questions makes sense.

    • Can you determine if the "tab list" has been created using a Gallery control?
    • Have you checked the TemplateFill property of the Gallery control?
    • Please share a screen shot of your Form/Gallery set up and ideally, a screenshot of the Tree View.

    • Hi Amik,
    • thanks for your reply. The FormTabs TabList has the items Gallery1.AllItems in it so i presume it was created using the gallery control Gallery1.
    • Gallery1 has the TemplateFill of RGBA(0, 0, 0, 0)
    • Ive attached two screenshots of the full tree view with the imprtant items expanded. The tab im talking about is FormTabs and the gallery is Gallery1.

    @Hapfel - I have not used the TabList control before. In fact, my knowledge of Modern Controls are almost non-existent.

    But I think I understand the principles behind your issue.

    On the DefaultSelectedItems property of your Tab List, enter:

    Filter(
     Gallery1.AllItems,
     TabValue = SelectedTab
    )
