Missing "Run OnStart"

I'm no longer to find "Run OnStart" under App. There is only "Navigate to StartScreen". Is there the alternate way to run OnStart in the app editor window?

Note: I have tried in Chrome and Edge.

Check Power Apps authoring version.  I know there was a temporary bug a little while back that remove the Run OnStart.  But that has been fixed.  I'm on the latest authoring version and its showing up for me.

Hi @Pstork1, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

My authoring version is 3.21102.25. Do you mind to share yours?

I hope mine is the latest version since I just signed up the community plan.

Hi @Pstork1 , I found this in the settings. After I turned it on, saved the app, and reloaded the app, now I see the "Run OnStart" option.

I should look into App.StartScreen as it suggests.

Thank you for spending your time looking into this issue though!

I'm on the same authoring version.  The Enable App.OnStart property setting should be turned on by default.

    Hi

Picking up this thread as seems to be the most relevant.

Firstly, the 'Enable App.OnStart' property no longer exists - the closest to this is 'Enable Navigation function in App.OnStart' which is being retired as we are now being pushed to use App.StartScreen.

The option to Run OnStart has disappeared in the last 2 weeks. I first noticed that it had gone when working within PowerApps 4 Teams yesterday.

The issue also applies to new apps created within normal Teams environments. If they are older than 2 weeks the option is there.

Newly created apps are missing the option.

We use OnStart a lot within our apps both normal and native Teams versions to set global variables etc.

Is this a temporary removal (bug) or something permanent?

If permanent what's the fix... having to save, close and reopen apps to push the changes through isn't a workable long-term option.

    Cheers

I just created a new app in both the web editor and inside Teams.  I have Run OnStart available in both.  I'm running authoring version 3.22083.18 in both environments.

    Hi @Pstork1

We have 3.22084.17 running in both.

I'm guessing something happened between the version you have (3.22083.18) and ours (3.22084.17).

    Microsoft any suggestions?

    Cheers

I'm also on 3.22084.17 and I don't see the "Run onstart" neither I see the parameter "OnStart"..

It's very annoying, I need this function because I use it to fill collections from SQL there..

    Hi Everyone,

Same problem here, missing "Run OnStart" property, and don't know how to do this without this option.
    Thanks !

    Hi @Nao_

For now the only workaround I have is to save, close and reopen apps to push the changes through - a right pain.

If this is going to be a while before it's fixed I'll need to move the OnStart code to my splash page OnVisible and/or a button to trigger the code and then copy/paste the code back to OnStart when I've finished tweaking it.

Not ideal either way but quicker than having to save, close & reopen.
