Hi All,

I'm trying to get multi-select checkboxes to work inside a form. I've tried following a number of guides out there on how to achieve it but no matter which slight variation on the method I try, I keep running into the same error whenever I try to use my collection for the Update property of the DataCard - "The property on this control expects Record values. The rule produces Table values which are incompatible."

My properties are:

OnCheck:

Collect(colQuestion1Ans,ThisItem.Value)
 
OnUncheck: 
RemoveIf(colQuestion1Ans, Value = ThisItem.Value)

I've done some troubleshooting but haven't found any fixes yet. The things I've checked are:
- Allow multiple selections in Sharepoint
- Removed any reference of the collection, removed the Sharepoint connection and started again
- Formula-level error management is enabled
 
My collection is being updated as it should when the checkboxes are ticked and unticked. I'm wondering if maybe my collection is being created in the wrong format or something?
 
I've been going in circles for days now so if anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

Hi @LT-29110846-0

Is your SharePoint Choice field a single or multiple selection field - the error (expecting a Record) seems to indicate that it is single selection (and you are trying to write a multiple value table to it)

Hi Warren,

Thank you for your reply. I've checked that the Sharepoint choice field is multiple selection and reset the connection but I'm still having the same issue.

In my opinion, your problem is due to some kind of order of steps you did.

And the test I did confirms this :)

I suspect that you created a list, then created an application and started playing with a form, it turned out that you needed a multi-select field, so you changed a property in the SP list.

In my opinion, removing the form, and adding it again to the application, will solve your problem.

The application will add the correct properties of the multi-select control. And You will be able to add Your modyfications :)

Try adding another Data Card in the Form with the same field and copying the gallery into it - you can then delete the original. If that is a multi-value Choice field, your Collection should update it.

Thank you both for your help. After pulling my hair out for weeks over this issue I took a break, came back and started completely from scratch and everything worked as it should! I think Pacel1 was correct and it just needed a fresh start... as did I
