Hello,

I'm fairly certain the old "PowerApps Studio" that was available as a Windows app has been deprecated and is no longer available. Might want to update this message.

Just saw this popup in one of my apps...

When I click "Get Power Apps Studio", the link is dead...

If anyone is out there!

    Hi @seadude ,

Thanks for your feedback, I got you. I will try to submit this issue to Microsoft to fix that message and the link.

BTW, The PowerApps Studio for Windows is still available to download from the Windows Store and just can be used to play app. So I suggest you download the PowerApps Studio for Windows from Windows Store.

The PowerApps Studio for Windows runtime version is not up to date with the PowerApps Studio for the Web(3.20022), it remains at version 3.18054This may explain why, as @PowerAddict said, it is no longer supported.

    Reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/business-applications-release-notes/powerplatform/released-versions/powerapps

    Hope this helps.

    Sik

    Hi @PowerAddict ,

The link in the message leads to a dead end. If I recall correctly, the last time I downloaded the "Studio" app from the Windows AppStore, it opened all apps in the browser (no longer a stand-alone application). I could be wrong, but this is my memory.

Its all good, i'm not looking for a solution here, just notifying ya'll that the message 1: Leads to something unsupported, 2: Is a dead link.

    Take care!

    Hi @v-siky-msft ,

    Browser: Firefox

Yes, the app has controls in it that do not work in browser. I'm not worried about that. Just pointing out that the message leads to a tool that has been deprecated and is no longer available. Microsoft might want to update the message.
    Thank you

    Hi @seadude,

What browser did you use when you encountered the popup message?

What controls did you have in Template App?

The popup message means one of the controls could be incompatible with your browser. The known controls that could show this error are Camera, Barcode, Microphone, and Export Controls. Verify again in all screens that these controls are not present. The control tree on the left panel will show all used controls, even if they are hidden behind another control or has Visible=false. Make sure to expand everything, including galleries and form data cards to see if there are any of these controls.

If you find any such controls, try removing controls, publish changes, and see if the warning goes away.

If you don't have such controls in the app, I would suggest you make a copy of an app and delete screens one at a time to isolate the part that is triggering the message, then you can debug what caused the error.

Please try other browsers to test as well.

    Sik

The app is still available but is not being supported anymore. The reason I know that is because I had a support ticket open with Microsoft for performance issues related to the Windows app. The feedback I got was that Microsoft is working on a completely revamped Windows app which might get released later this year.

Anyways, do you happen to know what feature might be causing this message? Also, can you go to the Windows app store and download the player from there? May be it's just the link that's broken.
