Use Virtual Agent as Mail-only-chatbot

Hello,

i try to use my Virtual Agent as Mail-only-chatbot. The goal is to get triggered via e-mail with a specific subject and communicate with the sender mailadress until the bot ends. Is that possible? I know that mailnotifications are possible, but i couldnt find anything for whole conversations.

Theoretically possible, if you could build an email listener that would communicate with directline in the backend, but why really? What is the advantage of conversing with your copilot over email?

We communicate with externals over a platform that triggers an email, we cannot guide the external to an chat as the platform rules dont allow it.
