Wildcard search on delegable filters in gallery.

Hello

We have PowerApps with gallery control which is tied to doc library in SharePoint. Gallery shows these specific files and has filters implemented within PowerApps. We have taken care of delegable queries and made sure it work.

Client has now come up with request of wildcard text search which is not delegable . We alredy have filter in palce which is using "starts with" and it works since its delegable. We are havung hard time explaining why it wouldnt work with wildcard and they will end up seeing maximum 2k fikes from 20k files dataset,  if we add wildcard text search .

So , question is. Is there a way to have wildcard implemented only on the fetched current data with gallery while other filters continue to work and fetch data from DataSource .

Currently, the moment I add text search whole items data source shows warning and only first 2k files are shown

    If I am reading this correctly, you can get your sample down under 2k with a Delegable query and want to Search this ? If so
    With(
       {
          _Data:
          Filter(
             SPLibrary,
             StartsWith(
                YourTextField,
                YourTextValue
             )
          )
       },
       Search(
          _Data,
          YourSearchInput.Text,
          YourSearchedField
       )
    )
    You can search several fields at the bottom if you want - once the top filter returns less than 2k records (although note you will get no warning if it potentially returns more - just the first 2k matching records), the bottom one will return all matching records from the top set.

    Thank you @WarrenBelz . Unfortunately we already have Formula after Scope. Currently we have "ForAll" used on the result set i.e. _Data. We use this to get row number of row to apply alternating color.

    Is there any way to use both ForAll And Search function?

    If you simply want to also add alternate shading
    With(
       {
          _Data:
          Filter(
             SPLibrary,
             StartsWith(
                YourTextField,
                YourTextValue
             )
          )
       },
       With(
          {
             List:
             Search(
                _Data,
                YourSearchInput.Text,
                YourSearchedField
             )
          },
          ForAll(
             Sequence(CountRows(_List)),
             Patch(
                Index(
                   _List,
                   Value
                ),
                {RowNo: Value}
             )
          )
       )
    )
