Get cross company data from D365FO to power apps.

Hello All,

My requirement is to create a simple canvas app(in Power App) in order to display the customer details as a list and details view, where the user can able to do the basic CRUD operations.

I have created an app with Dynamics 365FO as a connection and added a data source to my list screen. By default, it is displaying the data from the company which is assigned to a user as default company in D365fo.

For example, if a user has a default company has USMF then the list displays data from that company.

How can I get multiple company data from365FO to power apps?

Thanks.

    Get cross company data from D365FO to power apps.
    Create extension for the entity you want to access, set"Primary Company Context" to blank. Build and Sync data on VS. Refresh the entity datasource on Power apps.You will get all companies data from D365 FO on Power apps. Re: Get cross company data from D365FO to power apps.

    Can we update the cross company data exist in D365 F&O from power apps using virtual entities? E.g there are multiple legal entities where user has access is in F&O and he perform operations and the business requirement is to perform crud for each company using virtual entities from power apps in addition of the default company assigned to that user.

    I tried using finance and operation connector for power apps and found (record update operation) only works for default company, virtual entities can help in this case?

    What about virtual entities? This should allow for getting your data seamlessly in Dataverse (as if it were really there, although it's just a façade using OData) and then do CRUD operations on those tables? And as the company code is one of the fields, you would be able to filter data based on that...

    Hi,

    Currently powerapps is not supporting to display cross company records.

    The D365FO data entities will display only current company records, and also there is no clarification, if the user has access of multiple legal entities.

    Current available option, need to create CDS data entity for customer and create data integration project for each legal entity. The CDS entity can be used in powerapps to display cross company records in powerapps.

    @Anonymous

    I am afraid that 'cross company query' is not available for Dynamics365 FO connector.
