I have successfully built a copilot agent that connects to a sharepoint site for knowledge and is integrated with MS Teams. The sharepoint site has a library and also a list as the content i want to use as knowledge for the agent.

When i ask questions of the agent i have noticed that the responses are not using the sharepoint list content and returning the results from the list. The agent however is using the library content files saved in Sharepoint and returning those results.

My question is how do i connect the agent to use the sharepoint list? I am using Authenticate with Microsoft as the access authentication method to the agent and sharepoint site.

Hello,

the SP list is not being indexed yet, when you add SP as a knowledge source. The only option to use a list is to:

1. Use a classic approach to chatbot design (trigger phrases, classic topic invoke) and use actions to retrieve the list content.

2. Use a generative orchestration approach and define actions like Get items/Create item etc. for the model to use.
