Collection limits

Hello,

I’m developing an app connected to a SQL Server table called User, which contains Id and ProjectId. In a gallery, I filter this table by ProjectId, and the result can contain more than 10,000 records.

After that, the user can remove some users from the list (without deleting them from the database), and then migrate all the remaining ones into another table called UserMigration.

I tried storing the filtered result in a collection to make the manipulation easier before the migration, but it seems collections are limited to 2,000 items.

Does anyone know how to handle this? Is it possible to increase the collection limit, or is there another recommended approach?

Thank you

Power Apps has a maximum data row limit of 2,000. That doesn't mean a collection can only have 2,000. But it does limit the number of records returned in a single retrieval to no more than 2,000 records.   To solve your problem you will need to breakup your retrieval into manageable chunks.  For example if Project ID is a 4 digit number you could do a ClearCollect for all the IDs Less than 1000 followed by a Collect for all the IDs greater than 999 and less than 2000, etc.  Once the collection is built you can use all 10,000 records.
