Hi all,
I know this is a common Excel issue, but it is happening to me in a Power App connected to an Excel Online table and I cannot figure out how to solve it.
I have a gallery that displays what year places got audited and what the future date of the next audit is. See image below (some company info is blurred out):

I want a user to be able to click the Edit button in the gallery and use the Edit Form on the bottom of the screen to enter a future audit date. But, if I enter a date in the form and click save, it automatically converts that date to a number. This is showing in both the Power App and Excel file. Please see before and after images below.

Does this fix have to be in Excel? In Power Apps? Both?
You can see above that these dates can be date ranges too. I am totally fine with this being a Text field only without a Date data type, but it doesn't work regardless.
