we are using a planner in teams for a while, suddenly the email notification stopped coming in to whom the task has been assigned. Even the these people are member of the private teams where the plan is location. The only change has been made is now it is restricted not everyone can create teams. But we don't see any relationship with that.
pls check changes to Teams or Planner settings at the Microsoft 365 admin level (e.g., restricting team creation) may have inadvertently affected notification delivery.
