Template Fill behaves differently on start

I have a Gallery, in which I use the Template Fill option.  I use the command - If(ThisItem.IsSelected,Yellow,White) - to fill the selected item.  When I open and run the application, only the first few pixels gets filled with the color.  I go to edit mode, increase\decrease the width.  Now, if I run the app again, the Fill works correctly.  Please refer to screen shots attached below.  I face this issue every time I start the application.  I do not use any formula for Gallery width, instead its just numbers.

Am I doing something wrong (or) is this some kind of bug?  Please advise.  Thanks much.

By default the first item is always selected, that is why it's highlighted. Is it that when you first open the App, there should not be any highlight?

Thanks for checking.  Actually, it is not about the item getting highlighted, but the portion that is getting highlighted.  When the App opens up first, only the first few pixels gets highlighted.  When I manually adjust the Gallery width, the entire card gets highlighted.

Did you try to reorder for lables and item with color?

Also, try to apply this formula to all elements in a row
