How can I change the app canvas size without altering the size of my controls and font sizes?

Hello, Power Apps Community!

As of recently, I got the latest Power Apps update that lets me preview how my inventory app will look on various device models. I've made this app with the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3's landscape form and therefore its 1920 x 1200 resolution in mind, but when I did the preview for this specific model, I realized that I didn't count for the scaling of the app controls on what could be the device's default text and UI scaling settings, for the preview settings showed me that the actual main resolution to count for this potential scaling issue is 1280 x 800.

With this realization, I thought it would've been reasonable to re-scale my app to this resolution, so I went to the app settings and changed its custom resolution to this same value. However, in doing so, the font size of all labels and the size of some items shrunk to weird decimal values that I do not want.

Thank goodness PowerApps has version control, so I could revert those changes, but I need to know if there's a way of resizing my app size without having to endure those weird re-sizing consequences.

Thanks in advance!

You can try changing all of your controls to use a calculated size value (like App.Width*0.1, though test this on a single control first to be sure it won't be erased after changing canvas size) or disable "Lock aspect ratio" in Display settings. The latter option won't actually change the canvas size, but will let your app use "Scale to fit" without having black bars.

    Hey, spongebob! (Nice name, BTW)

I already have "Lock aspect ratio" and, in fact, "Adjust size to content" disabled, for I'm making it a responsive app. This specific tablet is a target/minimum size for me 🙂

I will consider this strategy for using a calculated size, though. Thanks for the help!
