Guys, I work for a corporation where I dont have access to the AAD. I have created a few dataverse tables and have a power app to interface with the data. I want to be able to limit records to a specific team, so that the users within that team are able to view those records only.
I am able to create the team within the power app using teams and add users to that team. The issue I have is that I cannot relate this team to a security role. It says the Entity does not exist when trying to relate the team to the secuirty role (the security role would be Teams members - We only have three security roles which are Teams Owners, Teams Member and Teams Guest).
I have tried to use the team guid to change the ownership (owners - /teams/guid) but it says that this team does ont have the privilages to that table, but I cannot assign the team privilages on the power platform admin, because I cannot find this team in the aad.
What is causing this and how could I overcome this using power automate. Instructions will be greatly appreciated.
Team in Power platform and Team in AAD are separate things. You can however map them.
You will have to do the matching to be able to sync them.
In terms of giving access to records in power apps, you can create a team that is based in power platform only, add team members and add/modify roles to make sure the permissions are given.
Power Platform allows you to configure security roles on user, group, business unit and organization level.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
