Dataflows > Power Query > Unexpected error

I've created a Dataflow to consolidate Excel files held in a SharePoint folder.

I did this in Dataflows > Power Query > SharePoint folder connector

When it comes to the final stage Do not load to table, then Refresh manually I get "We encountered an unexpected error."

I cannot use the WebAPI as an alternative as I get an Invalid Credentials error everytime I point it anything apart from an Excel file or SharePoint list.

I think we've figured out the permissions bit. I'm not a System Administrator  on the environment. I was a customiser previously

I'm basically getting an Unexpected Error anytime I try to create a Dataflow.

    Thank yu @v-jefferni ,

The CIO is looking at the Access Control (IAM) blade but cannot see the right permission. I guess the system customizer security role is the most appropriate.

Could you give us some tips how to find that role and allocate it, please?

    Thanks

Re: Dataflows > Power Query > Unexpected error

    Hi @RoryJC ,

I made a test in PowerQuery using SharePoint Folder connector and worked fine.

Since you mentioned in the end, and as per this post:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Dataverse/Unexpected-error-importing-data-with-power-query/m-p/521145, please make sure you have been assigned to a system administrator or system customizer security role.

Please take the check and try again.

If the issue persists, you may raise a ticket on support page with session ID:

    Hope this helps.
