Wonder if someone can help me with formula that checks if a field is not blank (person field) then populates another field (= )

IsBlank(ThisItem.Author)=false

Check on the Author column every SPList has, which is a people column. This returns true if there is a person.

Let me restate.

I have a person field that if populated, I'd like to change text field to = Yes
