Can create a SOAP API in PowerApps?

A client has hired us to replace a third-party app they use.  That third-party app has some SOAP APIs that the client interfaces with.  We're trying to find a way to create similar SOAP APIs in PowerApps to minimize the interface changes the client would need to make.

I'm familiar with making REST APIs in Power Automate using the "When a HTTP request is received" trigger.

Any ideas on how to create similar SOAP APIs?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi tschopp,

I do not whether I getting you correctly or not but let me initiate. Is your structure in dataverse for which you require SOAP API?

Let me know if I can provide more details.

    Thanks

    Hi @AbdulWahab ,

Yes, we have a model-driven app that uses the Dataverse.  We want to create a SOAP API that will be used to import data into the Dataverse.  The reason it must be SOAP is because we are replacing another product's API that our client already interfaces with - trying to minimize the changes our client needs to make.

    Hi @tschopp ,

There is no need to reinvent the wheel. You can use one of the below methods for that purpose:

    1. Use the Microsoft Dataverse Organization Service (Dataverse) - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs
    2. Microsoft Power Platform API reference (preview) - Power Platform API | Microsoft Docs

Let me know if I can provide more details.

    Thanks
