Formulas property gone blank!?

Hello,

On my canvas app, the Formulas property is gone blank.

No matter how far back I go on the versions, it's gone!

Can anyone help?

Losing the Formulas property in a Canvas app can be frustrating, but let's go through a few troubleshooting steps to recover it.

🛠 Steps to Fix the Missing Formulas Property

1️⃣ Check if You’re in the Right Screen or Control

Make sure you have selected a valid screen or control where formulas exist.

Some controls don’t have a Formulas property, so double-check that you’re looking in the right place.

2️⃣ Look in the "Advanced" Tab

In Power Apps Studio, go to:

Tree view → Select the control.

Properties pane → Click the Advanced tab.

Look for properties like OnSelect, OnVisible, Default, Items, etc.—your formulas should be there.

3️⃣ Try Resetting the UI

If Power Apps Studio is glitching, refresh it:

Press F5 to reload the editor.

If the issue persists, close and reopen Power Apps Studio.

4️⃣ Restore from an Older Version

If the formulas disappeared due to a bug or accidental deletion:

Go to "Versions" in Power Apps Studio:

Click File → Save → See All Versions.

Select an older version and click Restore.

After restoring, check if the formulas are back.

5️⃣ Check for Recent Updates in Power Apps

Microsoft sometimes releases updates that might affect the UI.

If something recently changed, try editing in a different browser or rolling back to a previous version.

6️⃣ Try Exporting and Importing the App

Hi @WebPortal

When you say it's gone blank, do you mean that the App Property property still appears in the designer and is still selectable in the top left dropdown, but it shows a blank value? Or does the property not appear at all?

Also, is the property gone on all apps or just a specific app?

Sorry for the late reply (this forum is also broken on FF).

Yes, the Formulas dropdown is there but it's blank, thus I'm getting 2500 formula errors.

It is on a single app.

Hello all,

Now, without changing anything, the formulas are back again.

I have no idea why, but would very much like to understand this..

Hello all,

Now the formulas are gone again!

This Power Platform can be erratic.

My advise to anyone: keep a copy of the Formulas property in notepad...
