I have a table full of projects and subprojects. Each entry has a unique name, a unique project ID and a project type (Parent Project or SubProject.) Each subproject entry has an entry in the "Parent Project ID" column that references its associated Parent Project ID. Several subprojects may share a single parent project, but parent projects are unique.

I would like to have a subgrid show all of the subprojects related to the parent project I select.

I start at the selection table:

When I click on a project I go to my main information form where I see the details of the parent project, but would also like a subgrid that shows all of the associated subprojects!

I have tried and tried but I can't figure out how to specify the relationship between the Project ID I have selected and the lookup against the Parent Project ID in the subgrid. I am sure I am creating the relationships incorrectly, but when I select "show related records" i don't have a way to tell it to show me all the records where parent project id is equal to the project id selected.

Can someone teach me how to create the correct relationship?
