PVA on Teams Bot Name is not Updating after Republishing

Hi all,

Im having trouble getting my bot on PVA on teams to update its name

E.g., the bot was created as AMEA SE Bot, but later rename to AMEA Sales Bot

In the PVA on team apps, the new name is saved and reflected, however in the engagement as a user, the name does not change.

any idea how can i get it to update?

In PVA on teams setting:

For the name (or any other internal bot description) to update you need to republish your bot, then go the channel menu, click on Teams, click on "availability options", get the link to the bot using the "copy link" button and paste it in your browser: it will refresh the bot in Teams:

Here I changed the name of my bot to SailMate2 and added "blabla" in the description, once I pasted the link in my browser it triggered an update bot popup (and increased the version number as well)

Once the bot is deployed, don't forget to tell the bot to "start over" so that it loads the new name in the chat window as well (it is automatically done after 30 min of inactivity otherwise).

And now my bot's name has been updated everywhere in Teams

Hi @remidyon , thanks for the solutions, it works perfectly to update the name in my teams

can i check if the change has been reflected to everyone in the organisation? or its just me?

@AndyYWS changes will be for everyone in the company (it triggers an update of the bot in the back end of Teams).
