Hi team,
I am trying to integrate my MCP-based backend (following the new Model Context Protocol format) with a custom Copilot agent inside Copilot Studio.
I have seen demos and documentation showing a “Custom Plugin (MCP)” or “Model Context Plugin” option when adding tools to a Copilot agent, but in my environment, I do not see this option available under the "Plugins" section or when adding a new action.
I have already verified:
My Copilot Studio version is up to date
I am working in a US region environment
I am the environment admin and maker
My MCP server and Swagger definition are working correctly via Postman and a custom connector
I would like to know:
Is this MCP plugin option still in limited preview or being rolled out gradually?
Is there any specific setting, region, license, or feature flag required to enable it?
What is the expected way to register an MCP endpoint if the UI option is not visible?
Any clarification or official guidance would be appreciated.
