I’m running into an issue with Copilot Studio where enabling generative answers seems to override or remove my company-specific data and the Azure OpenAI connection.
Desired Behavior:
• Copilot should first check my company data (SharePoint, Azure OpenAI, etc.) for an answer.
• If no relevant company data is found, then it should fallback to a generative AI response (rather than completely bypassing my indexed data).
Current Issue:
• When generative answers are disabled, Copilot correctly references my indexed company data.
• When I enable generative answers, Copilot appears to ignore my company data and only provides AI-generated responses.
I’ve attached screenshots of my setup, including the Azure OpenAI connection, data indexing, and the impact of enabling generative answers.
Question:
How can I configure Copilot so that it prioritizes company data but still provides a fallback generative AI response when company data response is unavailable?
Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
