Flow Not Sending Email Notifications

Flow is not sending notifications when a person has an approval.  This worked at some point but not anymore.  I tried Start an Approval, Create an Approval, Start and Wait for an Approval, Wait for an Approval. It creates an approval in Flow, but doesn't send the notification that I have one.  I confirmed with my SysAdmin that maccount@microsoft.com is not being blocked and the emails are not going to spam, junk, or any other folder.

Does your flow run at all?

Also in the new outlook send email you can send options by mail, maybe this can help you

Yes the flow works otherwise just no notifications

I can use send with options but how I do I collect the responses if they approved or rejected from that? And I wouldn't want to send it from my personal email

you can setup a different email address to send them from (choose another connection)

and the options can be question with a "condition" action.

your flow will wait untill the user answers

But what's the issue with the notifications? I would like to just have automatic notifications for certain things

I can't sign in as a different account because we have a limited number of licenses.  I have  a shared mailbox I can send from but that's not an option in send email with options

you can create a new connection for outlook with the shared mailbox as user.

Notifications not showing, no clue, i'm sorry

It can't connect to that shared mailbox.  Says user id is incorrect but its not.  I've used to send emails in Send from a Shared Mailbox

I'm not using gov.flow.microsoft.com for my flows and not getting notifications.

I was using us.flow.microsoft.com before when I was getting notifications.  I extending my trial and created an approval flow and got sent a notification.  I couldn't add comments though the email which I though we could do now.

Do you know why the gov.flow is not sending notifications but the other one does?

US has always latest updates/patches, also your region can have different capability's, like china for instance has a lot more restriction due to their law

    Hi @mhall ,

Do you mean that the end users do not receive approval notification when he create a new item in your SP list?

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned.  The screenshot as below:3.JPG

The Approval email notification as below:4.JPG

You could consider send an approval email notification to yourself via adding a new item in your SP list by yourself, then check if you could receive the approval notification within your Outlook.

Please also check if the end users have unsubscribed the email notification sent from Microsoft Flow <maccount@microsoft.com> via clicking the Unsubscribed button. If true, please consider contact with Microsoft Flow <maccount@microsoft.com>, then request for re-enabling email notification subscription for that user.

In addition, there are some limits in Outlook version to receive Actionable message:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/actionable-messages/#outlook-version-requirements-for-actionable-messages

    Best regards,

The user who is assigned a task does not receive a notification.  I've assigned the task to myself and a test user account I have.  Both get assigned tasks but don't receive email notifications. I think its because I use the Government version of Flow
