Continue developing while not messing with solution in development environment?

Hello

I have two environments: development and production.

I recently deployed an update from development to production. There is more development work I want to do in my solution in the development environment, but before messing with more stuff, I’d like to wait a week to make sure I didn’t break anything during my last deployment to production.

Is there a way I can keep developing and coding to improve my solution (containing apps and flows), without messing with the solution in my development environment? Any ideas or discussion welcome (: Thanks in advance!!!
