Hello everyone,

In my inventory table, I have an expiry date column (date only). I In my inventory table, the expiry date column, which only includes dates, seems to automatically adjust to the UTC timezone (-8) whenever I choose to "edit data in Excel". Could someone guide me on how to prevent this automatic conversion to UTC during Excel edits?that the expiry date will automatically convert to UTC timezone (-8) when I "edit data in Excel".

Can someone help me how to stop automatically convert to UTC when edit data in Excel.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

If I understand correctly, it updates only the rows that you are doing the edit on correct?

Can you please share your actual code where you are updating Excel please.

in my opinion the export is correct.
Dataverse stores all the date formats in UTC, at UI level you always see the date based on the time zone associated to the user profile.
Note there are also Time Zone Independent date formats, in that case the dates are still stored as UTC but the dates are shown as they are because no time zone conversion is done.
This is a design problem, your expiry date should be stored as Time Zone Independent.
It is possible to change the column type (documentation here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/data-platform/behavior-format-date-time-field#change-user-local-behavior) but is a tricky operation and you need to pay attention to the existing values.
Based on the number of records affected you may need a developer to assist you if you want to convert the column.
