Hi,
What would be the strategy in a model driven app where I have a view with the column Created By.
Instead of showing the Display Name, I would like to display a different column in the users table (for example Job Title)
Thanks in advance.
Todd
Hello,
If you want to display the other field just open your view customization, click "Add Column", in the popup select "Related", find the related entity, expand the menu and select the field that you want to be shown:
Save and publish your view. The only downside of this approach will be that the information from the related entity won't have a hyperlink to the related entity.
Thanks @a33ik,
Ive done that but not showing anything, blank column.
Wondering if it's a permission issue. I am logged in as System Admin.
Its Title for Office 365 Job Title. Not Job Title 😞
@a33ik May I ask for some tips on what the formula would be for a Formula column type since the heading of the columns can't be changed in a view yet? Im looking for the Title of the Created Column in my Custom Table. Thanks again
@Tango in other words you want to use Calculated Field to show the data from the parent record on your record?
@a33ik It was a simple as 'Created By'.Title
