Can someone explain the correlation between the analytics statistics of "App launch count by day" and "App Session count by session duration"?  My "App session count" in total has ~1400 for 10/23 but "app launch count by day" is showing only 283 launches for 10/23?  My assumption is that total app launches and app sessions count should be the same number, am I misunderstanding this? AppLaunchCountByDay.PNGAppSessionCountbySessionDuration.PNG

    Hi @samuelJ,

The "App launch count by day" report represents the amount of your app runs on that day.

The "App session count by session duration" report represents the amount of sessions your app creates on that day.

When you open/run an app, it would create a PowerApps App session. Currently, there is a limit on the PowerApps Session Duration, the maximum Session Duration is 2 hours.

If you have reached the PowerApps Session Duration limit, the current app session would be closed, but your app is not closed (still in open status). When you run this app again, you need to re-create a new session. So when you run an app once time on your side, you may create multiple app sessions.

More details about the PowerApps Session Duration limit, please check the response from PowerApps Staff @davidni within the following thread:

    Best regards,

    Kris
