is it possible to decrease the size of the date picker button ? Kind of looks weird.

I've seen this sort of thing happen when the browser's zoom level is different than 100% - have you checked that?

@BCLS776 yes i tried going to 120% and less then 100.. it stays the same size 😞
OK, next try removing the datepicker and then re-inserting a new one to replace it. Make sure to copy-paste any bits of code you have in the properties of the existing one to Notepad or another safe place so you can put them in the new control afterwards.
Following that, can you confirm if this same behavior happens if you use a different browser?
Tried a new one, same issue =[ . Unfortunely I only have access to Chrome!
OK, one last intervention: save and close your app, and then clear the browser cache.
If that doesn't work, it's time for a support ticket.
