Dataverse and SharePoint Document permissions

Hi everyone,

I am working on a model driven app with document management activated for a table. Then, users are able to attach documents when managing records from Dataverse.

My problem is I have defined some permissions for my table (standard users can only see their records). From Dataverse point of view, it is OK, my users see their own records. But, from a SharePoint point of view, they are able to navigate to the site and see all documents, even those attached to records they don't see in the app.

Do you know if I missed a configuration or if something exists to avoid users seeing documents that are not attached to their records?

I know that I can implement some custom features by code but I look for "standard" configurations first.

Thanks a lot!

    Hi @lirte_a,

This is by design. The security model for Dataverse and SharePoint are completely different, and the integration does not manage any synchronization of permissions between the two systems. You either have to manage this yourself in some automated way (this is complex), or use a 3rd party product such as CB Dynamics 365 to SharePoint Permissions Replicator by Connecting Software.
