Dataverse column display names in different languages

Hello,

We are building a model driven app for our Japanese business unit. Their requirement is to have the app in Japanese. Is it possible to implement a multi-language logic for the column display names?

The idea being that the columns in a view would be in English for US users and in Japanese for Japanese users.

Is this possible? What setup would determine what language the user sees the app and all labels in? The region settings in their Office account or something else?

Thanks,

Simeon

in the context of a model driven app:

    a) if not already done enable the Languages  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/enable-additional-languages?view=op-9-1

    b) the language packs will provide translations for most of the standard out of the box tables and columns, but you will have to add your own translations for custom tables and columns etc,  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/export-customized-entity-field-text-translation?view=op-9-1 (note: you have to provide the actual translations, these are just tools to upload them)

The language displayed is based on the language tab of each user's Personalization Options / Personal Options
