I am having issues with user getting an error message if they don't have access to the power app. Is there a sophisticated way to show them a message they will need to request access? The current message which says the App failed is confusing to some and they lose faith the app actually works.

I give everyone access to the App, and use SharePoint Permission groups or Dataverse security to control access to the data. I use an interim app to assesses the current users ability to get to the data. If they dont have access, I pop up a screen to request access. If they have access, I pass control to the main app,

How are users seeing apps that they don't have access to? Proper governance dictates that this should not occur. Never give users access to all apps and maintain data access security within the app. Your first line of defense is that only users who need it can access it. This is generally an audit point in most organisations.
