Event based in-app analytics - best way to setup today?

Good morning

I know that there is an Analytics App in the PowerApps portal which shows some basic information about app usage - which is great. But does not solve the problem if someone wants to know how users interact with the app itself, meaning which functionality is used how much, display paths used in the app etc.

The best practice I would assume is some Event triggered analytics system like like it was shared five (!) years ago. This is still a valid, DIY approach - you could even use Google Analytics or whatever solution with this manual approach.

My question now is: is there some slicker, automated way to go about this in 2023? Like has someone integrated Mixplan or the like successfully?

Thanks
Pete

Another option is to use the built-in analytics capabilities in PowerApps, such as the Power Apps Analytics solution, which is available in the Power Platform Admin center. This solution allows you to track usage data, such as the number of active users, app usage by location, and usage over time. Additionally, you can use the Power Automate analytics feature to track flow usage, performance and troubleshoot issues.

Also, you could use Application Insights of Azure, which is a powerful, extensible analytics service that can track performance, usage, and user behavior in your PowerApps. With Application Insights, you can monitor the performance and usage of your apps, as well as diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
