That used to be the way Dataverse managed time zone offsets to show dates and times for a local user. This was deprecated a year ago as we now use .Net functionality to manage time zone offset calculations. Each user has a location and time zone listed for their profile in the admin portal. This is what is used to calculate what should be displayed when a user local value is specified.

    Hi @NHelgren

Thanks, reason is I have an issue that I setup a Dual-Write with Dynamics 365 Finance for my Dataverse environment. And when I checked, the date is not synchronize when I enter data in Dataverse and the data transferred to D365 Finance.

As I'm in GMT+8 timezone, the data in Finance recorded the previous date. I'm not sure about the time because I can't see it in my D365 Finance, what I can tell is in Dataverse is recorded as 26-10-2021 4:44:00 PM which the correct time I'm enter the data, but in D365 Finance is 25-10-2021.

Although this timezone was deprecated, I can see in my table there is field Timezone Rule Version Number, is this the field related to the one being deprecated ? and what is the value "4" means ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Axal,

Yes the Timezone Rule Version Number is being deprecated. the number 4 there indicated the specific rule that was applied. Each time zone rule was represented by an Int value that would be used to retrieve the actual rule. Since that has been deprecated it should not impact any date/time values. I will see if I can find info on who from the Finance space could help with reviewing the configuration.
