Need help with below questions
I need to create app for external users to create lead in crm so which one is more useful..
Canvas or powerapp portal
1)licensing needed for canvas app and powerapp portal for external users?
What kind of licensing and how much cost ?
2) duplicate rules created In crm will work in canvas as well as on portal?
Example on account creation i m checking no duplicate account no...
Will user get error in canvas as well as portal too?
Canvas Apps are only licensed on a Named User basis, so unless you intend to create an AAD identity or use Azure B2C to manage the identities of these external users, I don't think it will work for you. Portals have several licensing models that are more flexible and intended for external users.
And yes, duplicate rules work no matter where the record is created but they are only intended for administration in a model driven app. If you want to surface duplicate detection and management in a canvas app, the data is there to do it but you would need to build the UI yourself.
