Update Banner

Hi,

I am having trouble understanding exactly how the power apps update banner works when a new version of an app is published.

Yesterday (day of pushing the new version) i made an update to an application, went to use the app on my phone, through Microsoft power apps application, the same day the new version was pushed, the update request banner appeared.

Today (1 day after pushing the new version) i went to use the same application from my computer, once again through a power apps application installed on the computer, the update banner did not appear, and the computer used the previous version, which caused errors with a flow that runs after submitting the form from the app, i used the app from my computer a second time and the flow seemed to work good, suggesting the app updated by itself, without showing the banner.

I have checked with a few other users of the app, their phone still showed the banner asking to update today (1 day after pushing the new version)

This is probably caused by caching issues.

    So this happens a lot.

For instance, I literally have to refreshing CTRL F5 not just refresh, but CTRL F5 sometimes 3-6 times before the banner appears. Sometimes you just need to give it time + that.

    This is... annoyingly normal unfortunately.

You really don't have to build an App to do that and make changes all the time. CTRL F5 or simply  the phone (I know I know it sucks) have to refresh it after closing the Power Apps app on the Phone and you might do it 3-5 times.

Is it silly.. yes... does it work, yes, it's been this way for over a decade even while I worked on the Platform as an FTE at Microsoft.
