Today function not working as expected

HI,

I have a field in my canvas app with a default value of Text(Today(),DateTimeFormat.ShortDate).

When i save a record it saves it to an Excel spreadsheet.

Today is 08/08/2023 so i would expect the cell in excel to be updated to 08/08/2023, but it shows 07/08/2023 23:00:00.

It completely ignores my date format and also has the previous days date.

i actually want the first day of the month to be stored so tried Date(Year(Today()), Month(Today()),1) but this gives 31/07/2023 23:00:00.

Can anybody help with this?

The code does not seem to be the issue.

You can try debugging on the App itself by displaying the default value of the field for your code on the app after you submit/save the value.
Text(Today(),DateTimeFormat.ShortDate)

Given that the date error is consistently sending a date value one hour behind the value you should check the values being saved on the app first.

Hi,

thanks for the response on this. i think i have managed to resolve. i had to change the Default parameter on the date part of the the datacard, not the default on the datecard
