Share canvas apps with guests in your organization

Hi, community,
Question: based on this article: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/share-canvas-apps-with-guests-in-your-organization/

I have tried to share my App with a guest account in our tenant. But I'm getting an issue to assign a license to the guest user. This is the message in Azure AD:  "License cannot be assigned to a user without a usage location specified."

Thanks for the feedback and help.

    Hey @frederikbisback

    Yes, the user would need a license to make the connection to CDS and fetch data from there.

    Hope this Helps!

    @yashag2255

    If the data source of the canvas app is CDS, does the guest user requires a license

    Hey @frederikbisback

    As the guest user is still a part of AAD, it is allowing to share the applications among guest users but please note, this is just a user access, the guest user cannot edit/share the application, they can just play it.

    Even if you assign a license to a guest user, this won't change the permissions over the application, they will still be able to only play the apps as users.

    Hope this Helps!

    @yashag2255
    I have checked the license for my test user.

    powerapps_share_SS02.pngUser has no Powerapps/flow license (O365 E3 license, removed PowerApps and Flow option) in his own tenant and none in the company tenant. User has been added to the power app, see screenshot.
    The test user is still able to access the power app? Is there a PowerApps license needed for guest users? When Yes, Which? When Yes, Why it's still working when no license has been assign.
    Thanks for the feedback.

    @yashag2255

    I have added the location, assigned a license and BAM it worked.

    Hey @frederikbisback

    To resolve this, please select a location for the user in the User details and then try to assign a license.

    Refresh the page before assigning the license.
