Having one checklist used in different projects

Hi,

I am very new in using Power Apps Portals, hence looking to get some guidelines / direction how to start-off my task.

The current dataverse tables I have are:

(1)  a list of Projects (for example: Project A, Project B, etc.)

(2) a set of checklist (for example: Task 1, Task 2, etc.)

In my power apps portal, I would like to have a filter on the Project list, that will then brings me to the same sets of checklist I have in the 2nd table. (Story line example: Click on Project A filter, then brings me to a set of checklist that is in the dataverse table. And if clicking on Project B, it will also show me the same set of checklist) There will be some entry tables to enable users to put in comments to each tasks for the different Projects.

I see some online resources with similar functions using Canvas apps, but I do not find them using Portals, and I am required to develop it using Portals. Would be great if I can just get some insights how how to kick start my development. Thank you!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Michie_24 ,

not sure whether i got it right:

If you have a task table i would assume, that the specific tasks are assigned to the specific project. Especially when it comes to commenting they do not count for every project, right?

In terms of Dataverse design this is really Out Of The Box possible. You just create a form for the project and on that form you create a subgrid which carries the tsaks. Within portals you can customize the subgrid in order to enable editing, deletion and adding stuff.

If the tasks are a kind of template for each project and should be shown for each project, you could also create a custom template, which has a basic form in teh top (for the project) and additionally an entitylist at the bottom carrying all the taskentries independent from the project. But keep in mind, that you then change the template tasks all the time.

We also created solutions like that, that whenever a project was created, a set of standardtasks was assigned to that project.

    Am i completely off?

    Have fun,

      Christian
